There has been a house on the site of Plas Gower since the 13th Century providing a home for the Rector of the Parish church a few yards away. Unfortunately the Parish Church is now redundant. It is surrounded by a large landscaped garden, a delight in the summer months for al fresco dining whilst taking in the breathtaking views of the lake and mountains beyond.

There is ample parking for at least six vehicles, bikes and/or boats. The property is located off a single track road leading from the tiny hamlet of Llangower which in itself comprises of only about six dwellings.

The property is centrally heated throughout, with open fires in most of the main rooms and is furnished and decorated tastefully in sympathy with the period.

The accommodation briefly comprises of:

  • Kitchen recently refurbished with fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, oven and hob, microwave and usual appliances with seating capacity for 6 to 8. There is a Rayburn stove which is lit during the winter months heating the kitchen and hot water.
  • Drawing Room with dual aspect and fabulous views over the garden, lake and beyond with comfortable seating for 6 with open fireplace.
  • Dining Room with extending table for 8 to 10 with open fire place.
  • Sitting Room/Library/TV lounge ideally suitable for children, with double bed settee and comfortable seating for four.
  • Georgian Staircase rising to first floor landing off which there is:
  • Principal Bedroom suite comprising double room with four poster bed, en-suite bathroom and walk-in wardrobe.
  • Twin-bedded room with washbasin, and dual aspect over lake, garden and mountains beyond.
  • Double bedded room with washbasin and dual aspect over lake, garden and beyond.
  • Single bedroom with bunk beds suitable for two adults, with vanity unit.
  • Large family bathroom with shower, bath with hand shower over and usual amenities.

A cot and occasional bed suitable for a child will be provided on request.

The property stands in its mature well cared for and well stocked gardens, which includes an ornamental pond that has been fenced off for safety reasons and an original Ty Bach.

At the rear of the property there is a field which is available for the use of visitors for recreational purposes, subject to local grazing.

The area is a haven for local water sports, hill and mountain walking and general leisure. Visitors will never be short of things to do.
